Local Governance

GOVERNANCE AT IVY LANE SCHOOL

There is a well established, experienced and supportive governing committee that is committed to improvement and makes significant personal contributions to the school in terms of time and effort. At Ivy Lane School, governance is split into Finance and Strategy Members who oversee the strategic direction and decisions of the school, and Academic Members who oversee Teaching and Learning.

Sustrans - Silver is awarded to a school that continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting active & sustainable travel, but with much of the energy & resources coming from within the school and its community.
Chippenham Partnership of Schools - we meet with the local schools on a regular basis to collaborate & share good practice.
Pickwick Learning Teaching Schools Alliance - involves over 30 schools sharing best practice. We believe that partnership & collaboration with other schools is the best way to continually develop & improve teaching & learning for the children & staff.
International School Award - gives us access to a world of learning, collaboration & culture. It helps introduce international work to our curriculum to embedding it within our school’s culture.
